River Jude Phoenix, born on the 23rd of August, 1970, was a musician, actor and activist. His acting career began at just ten years old, in film commercials. Phoenix has been in 24 film and television appearances, some world famous such as Indiana Jones and the last Crusade.

The Phoenix family worked for the Children of God, as stationed missionaries, in South America, they were living in poor conditions and had no financial help. River often played guitar and Rain sang to help their financial situation. His family began to dislike the group they were working for, and made it back to the United States on a cargo ship; and lived with their Grandfather. The family changed their name to Phoenix, representing a new beginning.

On October 31, 1993, River collapsed of a drug caused heart failure next to a nightclub. Before his accident, he was filming an unreleased Dark Blood.
